Description
We offer organic immortelle essential oil for pharmaceuticals, obtained from the plant with the botanical name Helichrysum italicum. The oil bears the name Immortelle organic essential oil for pharmaceuticals. The plant belongs to the family Asteraceae and takes the form of an evergreen subshrub whose dense yellow flower heads remain intact long after being picked from the stalk. The flower heads grow on dry, sunlit sites, and our growing areas are located in Bulgaria. These areas are cultivated organically, keeping the composition free from synthetic fertilisers and artificial agents applied to the crops. Harvesters pick the early flowering tops by hand at the beginning of summer. The flowering tops undergo steam distillation, which separates only the volatile fraction of the raw material. The distillation therefore produces a fragrance without extraneous notes or traces of plant pigments. The advantages of the oil rest on the organic raw material, together with hand harvesting. Harvesting and distillation produce an entirely organic composition that contains no preservatives or colourants. The composition brings together the volatile compounds of the flowers, and analyses highlight the sesquiterpenes along with neryl acetate and italidione ketones. The sesquiterpenes shape the herbal-woody side of the fragrance, while the acetate contributes its warm sweetness. The fragrance has a medium intensity and is held in the product's free-flowing liquid. The liquid takes on a pale yellow colour from the flowering tops because the denser pigments remain in the plant matter and do not travel with the steam during distillation. The colour of immortelle oil remains light throughout the volume of the liquid.

Application
Helichrysum italicum oil is used as an active ingredient in topical forms with gel, cream and ointment textures, intended for superficial tissues and affected areas of skin. It is present in detergents with an anti-inflammatory focus and in products that support the natural tissue repair process, as well as in products for visibly smoothing uneven areas of the skin. It is used in dermatological formulations for sensitive and easily reactive skin, as well as in compositions with antioxidant activity. It is also used in products for supporting peripheral circulation and in topical products for strained muscles and joints, including sports ranges. It forms part of inhalation preparations used for symptoms of sinusitis and allergic manifestations, and its stable profile also makes it suitable for inclusion in dietary supplements, where the consistent quality of the raw material matters to the final result. In this way, the oil covers a wide range of applications in pharmaceuticals, combining therapeutic potential with good tolerance in topical and inhalation use.

Storage

Store organic immortelle essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +5°C to +20°C to prevent oxidation and changes in quality. After opening, limit the amount of air in the packaging and, as the contents decrease, transfer the remainder to a smaller, clean and dry bottle. Use only aluminium or glass bottles for pharmaceutical products, preferably dark glass, which protect the essential oil for pharmaceuticals from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and moisture from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the quality and safety of the product for a longer period.
